« on: December 27, 2009, 07:51:17 AM »

DNS323 1.08B

Harddrive 1: WDC  WD5000AAKS-00C8A  WD-WCAS87499615  500 GB
Harddrive 2: WDC  WD5000AAKS-00C8A  WD-WCAS87564275  500 GB

□ Function does not work

Problem Description:
I have these NAS run in Raid 1 for almost 2 years and it worked fine before the 1.08 update
However, the raid 1 degraded and not able to rebuild.
As you can see, one of the Harddrive is not working

and the manually rebuild Raid button is grey..
After I unplug the working Harddrive, the one that was not working will work again:<
it seems like that i cant put these 2 drives in raid one again

Pull the non-working drive and connect it to a system and run the WD diagnostic format utility on it.  This will also tell you if the drive is good.  Put it back in and see if you can get the RAID to rebuild at that point.
