« on: December 22, 2009, 01:13:04 AM »

I have shaped my dfl-800 thanks to you of the forum now however I have a simple question with the following situation wan1 dmz with the servers web and lan with ip of my office the question is this
Because the address ip of the servers web also from the outside it is that of the gateway of the dmz (dmz ip 10.10.10.254 gateways) that is I see in the site and in the logs of the site alone web 10.10.10.254 I have to train the trasparent fashions? as it is possible? :o :o :o

Yes you can create transparent interfaces, if you are going to have a mixed transparent and routed environment then you will need to be very careful about metrics and routes.  Otherwise the below FAQ should have you on the right path.

If you follow that FAQ your DFL will become a transparent device passing all traffic to the nets you specified.  As long as you are within the network specified you should be good, just as if your hosts had been plugged together with a cable instead of through the DFL.
