655 + Trendnet Gaming Adapter (TEW-647GA)
« on: December 29, 2009, 11:59:03 AM »

Help please.  I currently have two Xbox 360's. 1 connected to the DIR 655 hard wired and the other to a Trendnet N Gaming adapter.  The adapter works great for xbox live but I cannot connect the two xbox360's via system link.  If I host a game, the xbox's will find each other, just not allow a connection.  It states NAT is open on both systems.  Do I need to do some sort of config on the router???  I know nothing of port forwarding or virtual servers.....and any help would be greatly appreciated....(oh, it did work with a d link bridge before I switched to the Trendnet, but had alot of lag due to the range)

Hi,

I also have one of those little gaming adapters and it works fine with Xbox Live....

Can't say if it works with the other 360's here at home that are connected using powerline netwokring to connect to the DIR-655....

I am pretty sure the others can connect to each other as the boys have been able to play some online game between themselves and their friends....but I don't know who is hosting what....

If you have some extra cash...I would suggest maybe a look at powerline networking as a way to extend your home net to the other 360....
