Only connects at 10mbps no matter what I do???
« on: January 07, 2010, 09:06:48 AM »

I bought the DIR-615 and have for the past 2 days been unable to get it to connect to 3 different pc's at the full 100mbps.  They only connect at 10mbps.  I have changed the option under advanced networking to 100mbps and Auto 10\100mbps but it still does it.  Also, when I connect to my cable modem it shows the ip address and then 0.0.0.0.0 and keeps going back and forth. How long does it take before it gets an ip from my cable modem?  30mins???

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

OK, the only way I found how to solve this issue is to go into device manager and then select your network card and select 100 Full Duplex mode instead of auto. this should force it to fun at 100mbps.  I have never had this issue with any other router though. Very strange.
