All my equiment support n-network, but I have to turn of the encryption to get 150 mbps. When I turn on the encryption all mye laptops saying that my connection is only 54 mbps.

Any ideas?

I have tried to connect my laptop (win7) with a new dwa-131 nano N adapter from D-link, and I can't even connect to my router when I set the router to N-only.....

Do I really need to accept that my 685 don'nt work in N-mode??

I now tried to turn of the encryption and I did get 135 mbps at once, soon that I turn the encryption on again, the connection just show 54 mbps..... Damn I am pissed that at gave my parents my dir-655....

What encryption are you using. My laptop would only connect at high speed if I used wpa2 but as I am using wpa and wpa 2 my speed slows down. Also check that your laptops wifi can connect 300mps. I presume you are close to your router. M

Now I am using wpa/wpa2. I tried to use ONLY wpa2, but with no luck. My laptops only shows 54 mbps connection. I am sitting 1 meter from the router.... Only when I turn of the encryption my laptops show 135 mbps..... Still no luck...

What make/model is your laptop. When you setup your router did you set it up as wpa2 only as well and n only on the wireless setup. That is in manual setting on the setup page. Thanks!!!! That helped!!! I updated my Ralink driver (asus eee), and set the encryption til aes. Now I have 300 mbps on the laptop with d-link wifi and 150 mbps on my asus eee!!!
