Folder hierarchy limit for UpNP?
« on: October 15, 2009, 01:06:56 AM »

Hi,

I have a DNS-323 and a PS3 both directly hooked up through a D-link DIR-615. I use the built-in UPnP server to display my photos stored on the DNS323 on the PS3.

Works great, except that part of the photo's won't show up on the PS3 - those that are stored up to 5 folder levels deep on the DNS323 show, files stored deeper don't.

Of course it's no problem removing a folder level (or even two :D), but i'm curious. Is there indeed such a limit. Is this a UPnP limitation or is it caused by the DNS-323 implementation? Can I get around this limit?

Using PS3 Mediaserver i can see all the files, but who want's to use that if you have a DNS323 ::)?

What firmware are you running on the DNS-323?

:P never saw your reply till now. :o I solved the problem in october by restructuring the folders. But now the problem is back because of a load of new photos...

I'm using 1.07. Does your question mean this is solved in 1.08?
