Connection/router rebooting with Intel 2200BG card
« on: January 28, 2008, 09:32:06 AM »

I am having a host of problems, and all attempts to fix haven't had much success.

I have a DIR-615 Rev B2, with the latest firmware installed (2.24).  When hardwired to the router, no problem. Can connect through to Rogers Portable Internet.

When a wireless client connects, I get a host of messages in the log indicating the client attempted to connect multiple times, and then the router reboots.

Code: [Select]
[INFO] Mon Jan 28 12:05:17 2008 Wireless system with MAC address 001CF0B92377 disconnected for reason: AP maybe crash...
[INFO] Mon Jan 28 12:05:12 2008 Wireless system with MAC address 0018411557A9 associated
[INFO] Mon Jan 28 11:53:50 2008 Above message repeated 6 times

One client has a Intel 2200BG card, and also a Dlink DWA-130 and neither can connect to the router.  I have a Intel 2200BG and can connect, but after 30 mins or so the router reboots.

I also notice in the logs, that clients are constantly deauthorized, and then reconnected, and deauthorized.....

Does anybody from DLink have any thoughts?  I am about to return the router to FS and buy something else.

Get kiwi sys-logger and monitor the unit that way. See if you get more of those AP Crash statements.
If you do that unit is prolly defective.
