Card not working properly

Hi guys,

I recently bought myself a desktop and also the DLink DWA-556 adapter. Now I had Windows 7 install the driver for it, but the problem is I can't connect to my router downstairs. I can only detect about 2 wireless networks, while my laptop sits right beside it and detects about 5 and can connect to my homenetwork, my DWA-556 doesn't even detect it. Why is this? Is there something I need to change in the settings. I'm working with Windows 7 Professional 64 bit.
