I wholeheartedly believe that this problem of forever "connecting" in the Dview software, and "The login have been exceed 10 users" is a bug in their new firmware.  I have never had that issue until I upgraded to the firmware.  True, the older firmware lost its connection sometimes, but the "login have been exceed 10 users" message is totally new to me.  When I have time I'm going to try restoring it to factory defaults, and reprogramming all my user defined data (passwords, LAN specifics, Recording, etc).  If that does not fix it I'm going to roll back to the former firmware.

If Firmware 1.07 on the DSM-950 did not have this issue I would recommend downgrading to 1.07. You are having the same issue with he DCS-920 cams? What firmware?

Same problem here with the DCS-950. Not sure if I should feel happy that I'm not alone with all these other people having issues with these cameras.

Everywhere on the net I read that these camears are not worth a dime, but I bought them anyway, because I had such a good experience with the multiple DCS-6620G I'm using also.

So with DVIEW 2.x I can't connect - it's always showing "connecting". If I go on camera setup, it's even showing connected, but never showing a picture. Browser works without problems, as long as it's not showing exceeded users or something similar.
With DVIEW 3.x it seemes that these cameras are not supported at all.

I hope there will be a solution. Since more than a year I have nothing but trouble with these cameras. Even if they're not the most expensive, I expect them to work. I don't need PTZ 6620 everywhere.

Even worse is that I'm overseas and can not access these cameras physical beside a reset (power disconnect and reconnect).

D-Link: I expect more - hopefully that's not too much. An improved firmware is the least we as your customers should be able to expect here, even if this can is not sold anymore today.
I'm not willing to throw three almost new (because never worked right) cameras away just to bus a new model. After that experience I'm just not confident that that would not be a waste of money.

I'm looking forward to some helpful information/updates. And please no question about my systems etc. It's running great - only problem DCS-650.

If you are having D/C issues with D-ViewCam v2.xx please try the latest 2.06 available at http://tsd.dlink.com.tw/ searching model number DCS-100.
