Another strange connectivity problem
« on: February 08, 2010, 10:45:11 AM »

So I've had this router, the DIR-615, for a good two years now and has worked perfectly up until just last week.

Whether it be wired or wireless neither my Playstation 3 or my PC can connect to the router.  The router displays that it is running fine, it has a connection, and both machines can obtain an IP address (so they say) but simply cannot connect to the internet.

Now here's the strange part.  Both the Macintosh users in the house can connect to the router via wifi with NO PROBLEM.  This just makes it even more confusing to me.

As far as bypassing the router entirely, I've been able to connect to my internet directly to the modem on the PS3 and PC.  I have tried restoring the defaults on the router, resetting it by pressing the tiny button on the back, I've had Comcast (my internet provider) refresh their signal to no avail, and have attempted in google-ing my problem for a while with no results.  I appreciate any help and please keep in mind I am far from an expert and might need some extra help in direction.  Again, thank you.
