Fan issue
« on: March 20, 2010, 01:15:29 AM »

I decided to make a new post since I don't know if you with fan problems have this exact one. My fan is off when I start my DNS-323 and it remains off up to at least 41C when I use it (watched movies for maybe 3hrs yesterday and it never started), but when it goes into idle mode the fan starts and then it never stops.
I have 1.09b1 right now, I have factory reset it, re-configured it several times and nothing works.

What's the hardware revision of the box?  Several people seem to have this issue with C1, I have no problems with B1 after a factory reset and reconfiguration with 1.08.

Try looking at the label on the bottom of the drive. :)

It's a C1.

That version seems to have a lot of these kinds of complaints, I'm beginning to think there's a pattern forming here.
