Problem with DPR-2000
« on: June 24, 2010, 06:28:57 AM »

I can't seem to find an appropriate section on the boards for this so i'm gonna have to try here.

I just bought a Dlink DPR-2000 print server and simply cannot get this thing working. I connected as per the instructions and it can see my printer (checked by logging into the firmware), but my computer sees the printer (which was previously just connected via usb) as offline.

My setup is thus: DPR-2000 connected via ethernet to my Billion modem (7402nx) which is the then connected via ethernet to my desktop. I also have the modem broadcasting wirelessly to a Billion relay station (3100sn) that boosts my signal via WDS to a laptop (which connects to the internet via the relay station). Funnily enough the laptop detetected the now networked printer via upnp but still wasn't able to connect to it.

Any ideas? The instructions as per usual aren't too helpful  ???

try right click on the printer and see whether the printer is on offline mode
