Adding DIR-825 to existing DGL-4100
« on: March 03, 2010, 07:52:56 AM »

I would like to add a DIR-825 to my existing LAN, which has a DGL-4100 already working beautifully.   I posted this in the DIR-825 forum as well.

I went with a suggestion to set them up as a LAN to LAN set up, with the DIR-825 as a non-DHCP box, static IP address of 192.168.1.2 (DGL-4100 is 192.168.1.1).  There are no device IP reservations on the LAN.

Connections from the DGL-4100 work fine.  The wired and wireless on the DIR-825 doesnt work.  I cant even get to its administration pages on its IP (192.168.1.2).   I have tried two different ways of physical connections (CAT5e from DGL-4100 to port #1 on DIR-825  -and-  CAT5e from DGL-4100 to WAN port on DIR-825), neither send traffic over to the DIR-825 for some reason.

Any ideas on how to achieve this?
