Mine ran flawlessly for 4 1/2 days until I started a torrent session. That overwhelmed the router as in old firmware versions both EU and NA. Nothing works until you pull the plug and re-start.

I'm using

PS3-wifi, Xbox360-wired, 3 wired-computer and 2-wifi laptops on it and all features on.
And sometimes torrent at the same time on 10/10 wire.
So far no problem.

My setup.
1 PS3-wifi, 2 wired-computers, 2-wifi computers, 1 IP-cam

Have tested to turn things on and off.

- My problem from the beginning whit the firmware that came with the router.
It blocked steam games, and if i for some reason needed to reboot my dir 655
The SSID was gone? so to go online again i had to create a new ssid.
 
So after 1.31EUB02 upgrade all of those problems disappeared "perfect" no problems yes!!

Instead i got this... reboot every other day Bah!

Before i bought my 655, i had 1: D-Link 604 and 1: DWL-G700AP whit no problem at all, every thing worked great. and because of speed update. to 100/10 i had to change. so this is where I stand now!

Did you put current configuration file when you update ?
If so do a reset and turn your settings by hand.

Do your dir reset every 24h ?  
Do your modem have a DHCP server if so either bridging
modem or set your dir to dynamic IP.

What i first did was a factory default reset!

Updated firmware, and made all settings by hand. Just a few ports for c-s server, web-cam, Webcamxp and for a streaming application and ftp.

Then i turned of QoS Engine, disabled WISH, disabled SPI the rest if default.

My modem have a DHCP, and settings are dynamic IP

I cant say it's every 24 h, for example last night around 10 a clock the last comp in teh network got turned off for the night.

This morning at 08:00 no internet, and forgot to mention this earlier, when this happens i can't access the router... Its say it busy! or something like that, I have a password to login and just to be sure i turned the MAC Address Filter on. Thought first that someone was fiddling around with my router.

i want to update my router to 1.31EUB02, but can I go back to 1.30eu if i want to?

Like i said, i have 1.30EUb08 and want to update to the latest. which one is the latest?
