xbox360 disconnect problems with dir-655
« on: March 09, 2010, 01:52:56 PM »

I just purchased xbox's wireless N adapter for the xbox360.  The setup went fine and the signal strength is good, but i get disconnected every few minutes.  I can almost immediately reconnect a minute or 2 later, but this is driving me crazy.  Any helpful hints for troubleshooting this.  I am a noob at this btw.

Hardware version: A3
Firmware: 1.21

Thanks in advance!

After reading more on this forum, I checked my log and saw that I had the dreaded "wireless restart".  Disabling Symmantec Antivirus worked for me.  Any suggestions on an AV that my DIR-655 will work properly with?

I think he is saying to use a straight Anti-Virus product, not one that includes a suite of items such as a built in firewall.
