Keeping track of Bandwidth.....
« on: March 04, 2010, 11:12:28 AM »

I just got a call from Comcast. They said I'm over my monthly limit of 250 Gigs.

They said I was doing over 600 and have to keep it under 250

How can I keep track of my totals?

My router is a dIR-655

Turn off your P2P application. :D

Verizon FiOS doesn't seem to have any stated bandwidth limits, at least for now... :)

There are settings to stop seeding after a certain amount has transferred or a certain ratio I think.  That's worked for me.  That and the fact that I limit myself to maybe 2 or 3 major downloads/BT a month.

Cjmedina,
I am not sure what OS you are on but you may want to take a look into "network monitor 2". This is a gadget that I stumbled upon a while back. Obviously its for Vista or Win 7. I am not sure how accurate it is but I know it gives you current bandwidth usage and total. Check it out....maybe it will work for you.
