DNS-323 File Seceruty

Does anyone have an idea on how to secure folders on the 323?
i have 5 users on a DNS323 and only 3 off them may access certain files and folders the other 2 only need to access one specific folder... I do know about the disk quotas that can be set but once a user log into the DNS and get up from that chair and a different persons come and sit those files are still open.

I want to attempt to put a time out or something on these files so that if you do not have access you need a user name & password to get into them and if you are not working on them say for 10min the file lock up again...

I hope someone can point me in the direction of a solution. ???

What happens if the user logs out of Windows before getting up from the chair - does the DNS-323 not ask for a user name at the next connection attempt?

I would have to agree with Fordem. Just have the last user log out. This way windows will definitely ask for a username/passwd once the second person logs back in. You may also try creating a .bat file like....
net use driveletter: /delete. Create a shortcut on the desktop and have the current user execute it before leaving. This may illiminate the hassle of log off and on again. I have not tried it but give it a shot and see.

Have tried the suggestions and it does work but just came across one more problem - whenever there is a user/pwd set on assessing a folder that contains an excel database and the user try to open the excel file; MS Office 2007 say "Assess Denied - Contact your Administrator" no error code ore any thing ells.

the main folder is named "Gee Kay Ind Cer" and within that is folders for "Jobs 2009" and "Jobs 2010" within that is the excel spread sheets with the data on it by name for example -  Job 2010 Tim -

Any thing ells i can try?
