Which should i get
« on: April 19, 2010, 05:54:56 PM »

Well since the RMA that dlink sent me is defective and im on the original "defective" router, they are going to send me another rma and will probably lead up to a pick of any dlink router. SO! Without upgrading firmware as i learned my lesson, which one should i pick for great speed, gaming, and superb wireless

Hmm 2-3 routers being bad, I really doubt that this could be an issue with the HW. Wow. Has any other trouble shooting been done on the ISP side, cables and configurations? I have 2 4500s and both work. Oy vay man.

If your going on to the 3rd router and still having issues, really doubt this is a router issue.

And even if your routers are bad, I would check the grounding on your electrical.

Though I think the answer is much simplier then that. When dealing with any kind of support, sometimes the path fallowed is the path of least resistance. Not pointing fingers, but I question the motive of the person who told you it was the router the second time around.

Wow, sorry that you have had so many go bad.  :( At least Support involved.  :)

I don't have any experience with the 655 however you could ask that question in that forum. I'm sure you will get some response there. Hope you get this resolved. Let us know how it goes.

Have a good week. ;)

::sigh:: And they told me that I can't change my DNS because I need that to get a IP.

Well then, good luck with the new router. Lets hope that one doesn't have a case of those magic unicorns..man...those things are nasty. Eat the inside of the router right out.
