Let us know if you need some help. Review the Gaming and Gamefuel Sticky. It works well.

Well I tried to bridge my wireless router to the wired router and oh boy did I have a big fiasco with it, I had to reformat my computer four times because my wired router's settings were all screwed up after connecting with the wireless bridged and it caused a whole mess of problems that I unfortunately do not know how to fix in advance router configuration settings. So, after it would connect two computers with it and it wouldn't connect my computer to the internet using just the wired connection without the wireless hooked up I tossed the router and hooked up another wired D-Link router and was back on line. I just called up cox and asked them to install my own internet connection so I can easily just hook up my new wireless D-Link DGl 4500 to it, it will be much easier on me, bridging routers together and not knowing what you are doing is a infinite nightmare and or migraine. Thank's for the help and everything though but at least the technician can do it for me on Tuesday and I won't have anymore stress trying to get it connected.

Soon the 4500 will be on line....let's hope no other problems arise...lols.

I keep hearing allot of people saying not to update the firmware for the router but is there a good firmware out yet that I can upgrade too?. Also you cannot use WEP with wireless N?, that sucks hardcore...wish I knew that before I bought it. It's so miss leading.

Im using WPA2 on N mode only on both of my 4500's. One has v1.15 and the other has v1.22 FW and both wireless are very stable and working great for me. I don't game on wireless so I can't stay if gaming is good however I do have a buddy that has his son on wireless G mode only on XBL and he's running V1.22 FW and having a good time. V1.21 fw was not a stable release so if you have that loaded and seeing issues. Update.

I tried to run WPA/WPA2 on wireless-N but it won't pick up my ipod touch and PS3 wireless. So I'm stuck with wireless G. It keeps saying that I cannot run 5ghz on WEP or WPA/WPA2, why is that?. in order to run 5ghz I gotta keep my security off?, that sucks.

Other than those issues, this router kicks butt and I am glad I got it, I've had it on for 3 days so far and not one problem or disconnect. I recommend the DGL 4500 to anyone who is thinking of buying it. :)

PS3 doesn't support wireless N, nor does it support 5Ghz (wireless A), so you have to have the DGL4500 set to 2.4Ghz and the PS3 can then use wireless G.  I do that just fine using WPA.  I don't know about the Ipod touch, but I would think that could support WPA, but probably just like the PS3 it only supports wireless B/G.

Oh I didn't know the PS3 didn't support wireless-N. Oh well it works well anyhow. I am using WPA/WPA2 on wireless G right now with the ipod touch.
