New Router and now I get waiting for http
« on: June 12, 2010, 04:58:48 PM »

Hi all, new to this forum. I just purchased a dir 825 rev b , I still have the 202 na firmware on it. Im scared to update it because of the horror stories i'm hearing. Anyway's I installed the new Dir 825 and noticed all 4 computers have all slowed down on IE8 windows 7 Ultimate. If I go to google something it says waiting for http, if I hit the refresh button the page will open up. Some pages open right away and most say waiting for http. I first thought it might be something wrong with ie 8, but my desktop and 3 laptops all do the same. Thanks for any advice . Gary

are these computer running wired, or wireless?  If wireless, you may try changing the wireless channel.  Do you see any other wireless routers near you?  What about your DNS server settings in the router, or is it DHCP with your internet provider?  There's a lot of things that can be wrong with your settings.
