D-link + HP C4250 + Shareport
« on: April 09, 2010, 07:03:54 PM »

Shareport apparently doesn't support my printer. The printer works fine when connected to my PC running XP-64 but not when connected through shareport. In that case, it prints about a third of the page and then spits out the rest of the page. Based on reading the other posts here, I'm gonna blame this on the shareport drivers and not my incompetence. The reason I bought this router is because it advertised print sharing. Should've gotten the linksys and a separate wireless usb print server. Sorry d-link, you didn't win a return customer here.

Hi,

I am having the same problem with my new pc (Win 7 Pro x64...) and my DIR-655 router using shareport.

Have you been able to resolve this on your end ?

Please PM me if you like....  This is really annoying !!

I'm also having the exact same problem with my new DIR-628 printing to a Canon PIXMA MP150.

I'm running Shareport Utility version 1.1.0 R1 (SXUPTP Driver: 3.3.4.0) on Windows 7 Professional 64 bit.

Works fine when connected directly to a computer, but when connected through Shareport it only prints half the page and then spits it out and prints the second half on a separate page.

Just like Kyle, I bought this router (replacing a perfectly good Linksys router) for the sole purpose of sharing my printer. This is not a good introduction to D-Link from a customer perspective.

This must be a bug in the Shareport software.

Please, does anyone have a solution?
