Wireless connection resets with 100+ MB data transfer
« on: June 21, 2010, 04:40:15 PM »

Hi All,

I got my DIR-615 (HW: C1 FW: 3.10NA) about a year back and now 'm noticing a strange problem. Whenever I give a data transfer over the wireless, the computer 'm sending the data to/from gets disconnected from the router and the transfer fails. Though the connection re-connects itself after a while but the transfer fails. Currently for all file transfers I have to use the cable. But again, if I download something from the internet, the wireless works just fine irrespective of the download size.

I have tested the same from multiple computers running different OS (Win XP, Windows 7 & Fedora 13) but the problem remains the same.

What can be the problem!?

Thanks in advance,

Try updating to 3.12NA (North America), which is the latest for your hardware revision. Get it from: ftp://ftp.dlink.com/Gateway/dir615_revC/Firmware/dir615_revC_fw_312NA.zip

Here is the changelog:
¤ Fixed: “User” access issue.
¤ Fixed: Wireless connection issue.
¤ Fixed: DHCP reservation issue.
¤ Fixed: Static IP issue.
