DR615 on Linux ?
« on: June 25, 2010, 01:25:50 AM »

I received a new free DR615 router (ver D4) from my ISP but whatever settings I use, even with no encryption, Linux Mint on my Toshiba A100-147 laptop returns a "Bad password" message to me. The previous router worked fine. Should it work ? I was also looking for firmware but can't find any on D-Link's site for D4. Is it worth trying DD-WRT ?

First you should try to connect with another device to see if it's the computer or the router that's the problem. If it's the router I guess you should contact your ISP.
Otherwise I've found that using DD-WRT is always a great idea as I find it vastly superior to dlinks own firmware.
