Cannot Acces Web Interface
« on: July 30, 2010, 12:39:16 AM »

We have a new DES-1228 Switch, apparently it works as a switch, but we have some problems:

1. From time to time machines lose connections to the switch, except if we use ping -t on the switch to keep connections alive.
2. We cannot acces the Web Interface, we get "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" when we try.
3. Smart console utility detects the switch, but does not want to save any modification we do.

Firmware ver. is 1.11.01.

Is it defective? Should we send it back and stop wasting our time?

Ensure you have an IP in 192.168.0.0/24, it sounds like you are trying to manage it from a different network.

As far as loosing connections, that makes little sense and should be elaborated on.
