I have both a DIR-615 & a DPR-1260 that I am trying to wirelessly connect together. I set the print server up with the wireless profile of the DIR-615 and a static ip. The print server can see the ssid of my router, but seems stuck in "Searching for AP" and the router intermittently sees the ip address of the print server (it drops every second). I also posted this problem in the forum for the print server.
The print server does this whether it's set to Ethernet/wifi or just wifi. I had this print server successfully connected to a different ssid of a DIR-655 (a home network), but I needed the print server more for the office. The print server has the correct ssid & security settings of the DIR-615.
BTW: I have little trouble with the wireless of the DIR-615 (I know there are complaints about it). It has a DAP-1522 (Xtreme N wireless bridge) wirelessly connected to it at all times.
I cannot use Ethernet connection for the print server to the router since the router is in the closet in the break room. This was the only place we could route cable modem to. There is no room for the print server and printer in the closet.
I can use Ethernet connection for the print server to the wireless bridge, but that provides inconvenience since that device is in a locked office in an adjoining suite. I can do this for now if I must, but it can't stay that way.
Any suggestions?
UPDATE: The print server now shows connected, however the router still shows the print server dropping every second.
