WISH and uplink speed Q's...
« on: July 01, 2010, 06:42:41 PM »

Should I set up WISH since I am using multiple wireless items?  Also I noticed that the uplink speed is 775 kbs...is that good or low?  Any other ideas for making this system as fast as possible?  Thank you.

I would run thru the Gaming and Gamefuel sticky and see if that helps you. I have WISH turned off for me.

Wish isn't going to increase the upload between the router and your modem, or the upload for your modem. It only manages the wireless traffic in a simular way gamefuel manages wired.I say only use it if theres times where your using mult clients at the same time AND You see a noticable speed decrease when someone starts. Otherwise, leave it off.

What I have running on the system:  Wired...Desktop and 360.
                                                  Wireless...Second 360, Ps3, Wii and Laptop
Most of the time we are using the 360's at the same time with her's being the wireless (N adaptor).  Rarely do I use the Wii or PS3 wirelessly while she is using the 360 online.

My question is I guess where is info or a sticky showing WISH setup.  Thanks.

The only I can recommend is reviewing the HELP section in the Routers web page for the WISH. Does give information about it. There hasn't been alot of WISH posts on here. I suppose if we could come up with some experienced users that use WISH we could post a sticky. Let me know, be glad to help out if I can.
