Slow 802.11n
« on: July 22, 2010, 02:59:56 AM »

I'm currently moving files from my hard drive to a NAS connected at 100mbps when using the wireless 802.11n my throughput maxes out at 1.8mbps with a wired 1000mbps connection to the router i am able to get 4.6mbps. Why is the 802.11n running so slow?

How is your NAS connected? How is the PC setup for wireless? What modes is the 4500 Wifi running? Mixed or single mode? What band are you using? 2.4 or 5Ghz?

Are you sure you don't mean 4.6MBps? As in MegaBYTES? Also could be a cap of your wireless NIC. Using USB?
