Can Game fuel work for multiple xbox's
« on: August 03, 2010, 03:54:55 PM »

I was told by a ISP service rep that game fuel will not help my connection speed?  They checked all the boxes in the first box for game fuel but when it came to designating a port they said it wasn't neccesary?  Where they right?  I was hoping to draw more power from from my connection into my box and my sons box. Also I have the 1.21 firmware , it seems to work fine but should I upgrade to the 1.22? :-\

Review the Gaming and Gamefuel sticky for one or multiple xboxes. Yes, it wont help speed, however it keeps everything prioritized and working well with more that one game console. It's been proven to work for me and others I've helped set set up.

If your using DSL then have the ISP bridge the DSL modem to the router as most DSL modems have a built in router and effects how the 4500 and game consoles NAT to the game servers. Once this is done, you'll be fine. Cable modems don't have this issue.

If your 4500 is working well on v1.21 then I would keep it going until you see problems. Some people didn't have any issues with that version, others did. Let us know how it goes.

Thanks for the quick reply furrynuts, I have the westel bridged already and everything seems to be running smooth. Gamefuel is ennabled just not prioritized.   But my speed is the real issue I guess, I have the fastest speed offered in my area wich is 7.5 I still am much slower than my opponents in modern warefare 2 .
oh well gonna have to work on my reaction time i guess. lol
Thanks

7.5Mb Download from your ISP? Wow. Well thats only about 3Mb less then what I have and I had I think 6Mb before I was upgraded last year. However I'm on cable. I had been playing just fine with that on MW2 and Halo stuff. Ya, once you get it all prioritized it should work well. Been working well for me and others I play with. Ya you will continue to see lag and crap going on to and thats just the nature of gaming.

Will prioritizing each xbox speed up the conection?  I unplugged everything except the one xbox and the speed did'nt feel like it changed but its hard to tell.  If you think its worth it? I will.
sounds like you know a lot about this stuff.
Thanks
