Cronic Problem With Connection - DIR-615 3.11NA
« on: August 22, 2010, 09:11:21 AM »

Hi Folks,

I'm having trouble with my 615 router (firmware 3.11NA).  I have 4 wired connections and 3 wireless but sometimes only my laptop from work is able to access my network (wireless N).  It's fortunate that my work laptop can still connect because my other things (even the wired ports) wouldn't connect!  I can connect wireless but am in local mode only (no internet).  The only way I could figure to fix this was to change the 802.11 mode.  In order to fix the problem I have to (something to the effect of):

1.  Go to Wireless Settings - Manual Wireless Connection Setup - 802.11 Mode.
2.  I was on n, g and b modes possible, change it to n and g possible save.

I was wondering if anyone had the same problem.  Does going to 3.12NA solve this.  I don't like to update firmware unless I need to.

Thanks in advance!
Cap

Hi. I had a similar problem, where my wireless connections would just keep timing out.  updated to the 3.12 firmware this morning and haven't had the problem reappear yet. So it seems to have worked.
