DCS-1130 and Airport Extreme
« on: December 22, 2010, 04:31:08 PM »

Just purchased DCS-1130 and tried to setup on my Apple network that uses the Apple Airport Extreme as the main wireless router.
DCS-1130 powers up fine with a green light. It also has a green light when I plug it into the Airport Extreme router.
I cannot find a way to communicate or setup the DCS-1130. I tried to connect to it with the default address of 192.168.0.20 both wirelessly and with it wired into the Airport and also wired into my Mac's ethernet port.

Any idea why I cannot setup the camera? Thanks-

Sohail

I believe the only way to initially set up the camera is to use a PC. I too have an Apple Airport Extreme and I use a PC on this network and the camera worksfine. I have a DCS-1100 and DCS-1130 up and running

DLink has released a Mac OS X installer app for the cameras.

Where have they hidden the Mac installer?   Mr. Google can't find it. (nor can I).

Google doesn't search FTP directories. Try this (URL via my FTP software):

ftp://ftp.dlink.com/Multimedia/myDlink/mydlink_Setup_Wizard_OSX_BETA.zip

FWIW the Android apk software is also here, in a sub-directory ".../android" -- and that works very well with my Android 2.2 Viewsonic gTablet.
