WD1002FAEX 1 TB Caviar Black

Does anyone know if this drive works with the DNS 323 as it does not support the advanced formatting that is so troublesome from what I can read about it?

Update: 1 FYI I've installed this drive successfully as a Individual NON RAID drive in the NAS Device and and selected EXT3 for formatting and it successful formatted and was able to copy over 350 GB of data just fine too it. I haven't tried it in raid configuration. I'll need to purchase a 2nd drive with a different manufacturing date.
