How to set DNS provider?
« on: August 18, 2010, 11:07:22 AM »

Hey, does anyone know how to set your DNS provider on the 615? On my old (and horrible) DI-524, it was pretty simple. I have DNS relay disabled on the 615 because it caused too many problems.

Also another thing, my uplink speed was not estimated in the whole time I've owned this modem, so I manually set it to 1Mbps...Is this ok? Speedtest.net never showed an upload result much higher than that, but thats around what I usually get.

Thanks

Setup -> Manual Internet Connection Options

This is how I set the primary/secondary DNS Address for OpenDNS on my Rev C1 running 3.11NA.

DDNS is under Tools -> Dynamic DNS

Try disabling 'WAN Traffic Shaping' to see if it impacts your UL speedtest results. Also, unchecking 'Enable SPI:' on the firewall settings page can sometimes help w/ throughput.
