Won't allow me to update to 3.12NA
« on: August 23, 2010, 12:51:10 PM »

I have a dir-615 with hdware version C1.
Current firmware is 3.11NA.

I'm having trouble with a Voip router behind the router, it's recieving calls but I can't dial out. Started with this new router (just connected it yesterday)

I've found information from other people that had this problem and was fixed by going to the newer firmware, 3.12na.

When I try to upload the firmware, I get an error that, well I can't remember off the top of my head, but said something to the effect that it is not valid or not compatible with this model... something like that.

I've tried downloading it multiple times from dlinks website but same error each time.

Any ideas?

Are you attempting to load the fw file via the wireless or wired port? If the wired port upload fails, try doing a hard reset.

Was the downloaded firmware extracted first?

For your VoIP router behind a router issue, I don't think a firmware upgrade could fix this. Opening of ports won't work due to double-NAT.
