Setting up home office/entertainment network with DIR-655
« on: September 12, 2010, 02:59:34 PM »

Hello everyone.  Yes I am a noob.  I will try to be as desciptive as possible and I hope I am not asking too much, but here goes...

I am in a bunglow (large main floor and basement).  I am relocating wireless router to main floor from basement.  Here are the components I will have on the main floor.

Desktop PC (Piece of crap-rarely used)
Wireless Router (DIR-655)
All in one Printer (HP5510)
2 - HP laptops (already setup for WLAN internet)
LG Bluray player (BD360)
Shaw HDPVR (Just FYI)

In the basement...

XBOX360

In the next 6 months I am upgrading to an HD projector and another blueray player as well (basement).

What I hope to accomplish is as follows...

Print from laptops wirelessly.

From bluray player, access HD video files stored on my laptop wirelessly...and from future bluray player in the basement.

Finally get onto xbox live wirelessly.

I would really appreciate any suggestions anyone could give me.  I have no idea what additional USB adapters I might need or how to setup a network for this application.  Many many thanks in advance...
