Guest zone not providing internet
« on: September 14, 2010, 11:59:10 AM »

I got a DIR-825 from Costco a few months ago and it's been pretty stable.

Unfortunately, one of our PCs has a Netgear WG311v2 wireless adapter that connects to the router through the guest zone (WEP encryption with short passphrase) but has never been able to access the internet.  This same wireless adapter sees the primary SSID (2.4 & 5 GHz) using WPA2-PSK, but identifies its security (as well as the security of every other WPA2 network in range) as WEP.  So far this computer hasn't been able to get to the internet or to the rest of our network (printers, etc.) using any of the discovered networks.

What can cause internet access to be denied to a PC connected to the guest zone?  Can there be a conflict when the guest zone uses WEP security while the rest of the wireless network is using WPA2 security?
