DVG-3104 gateway loses connection.
« on: October 07, 2010, 10:58:00 AM »

I'm having a issue where one of two DVG-3104MS gateways lose its connection to the DVX-2000MS base throughout the day causing it to lose access to 4 of 8 analog lines. I have to physically restart the device everytime this happends. It happends every few weeks and is not gateway specific, its randomly either one. Everything is updated firmware, has battery backup so no "brownouts". Any thoughts?

DVX-2000MS-10P
Added extra DVG-3104MS Gateway
12 DPH-128MS Phones

This system was installed in a busy Doctors office, they get complants that their patients can't get through, and if i cant get this squared away they are going to ditch the system. ???

Your DHCP addresses are expiring, reset everything (gateways, phones, base unit) so that acquires the same ip everytime and you should be good to go.  Whatever unit is providing the addresses should have a way to associate the mac addresses with a specific IP.

Thanks for the info. The gateways and phones are all set to static ip address, one of their two servers is assigning the ip addresses.  Ill have their IT assign each mac address to the matching ip address.
