Syslog

Hi,

I had a bit of a search on this and other forums and I'm not sure what is possible.

I would like the DNS323 to run as a syslog server that I can send log events from my firewall/router to.  What is not clear to me is whether the DNS323 has a syslog daemon operating by default.  Some references to some threads re the HDD waking up all the time seem to indicate that it is.  If that is the case is there a place that has instructions on how I do that, i.e receive log events from the network.  Where are the logs stored? etc.

If the native firmware does not support it does the ffp package have a good one or should I get different one.

My intention is to make the DNS323 boot up off a USB flash disk to allow the logs to be stored there, thereby preventing the drives waking up just to receive logs.

Thanks,
Z
