Checking transfer speed..... Help needed.
« on: September 05, 2010, 09:22:09 AM »

I have been using the DNS-321 for a while now.  To date it had been used with two XP machines.
Now I'm using Windows 7 and the speeds seem to have dropped tremendously.

For example - Right now I am transferring pictures from my laptop to the unit and am getting between 400 and 800 Kb/s.

Anyone have suggestions on how to figure out where the problem may be?

Also.... I know it's a wireless issue as when hardwired, I am getting 10 Mb/s.

Thanks-

Uh... try moving your wireless AP and laptop closer together?  Try moving it away from interferors (microwave, baby monitor, etc)?  Try moving your AP onto a different channel, preferably one that doesn't overlap another channel and isn't used by anyone else nearby?
