DNS-323 and WD WD6402AAEX
« on: November 01, 2010, 01:12:31 PM »

Hi all, sorry for this post, but I cannot tell if this likely a compatible drive for the DNS-323 or not?
I can't tell if it is one of the "Advanced format" drives that would not work, or just an untested model of a tested family, that is *likely* to work?
WD6402AAEX - It's the 640 gig version of the WD Caviar Black family.

Anyone tried this model, or would advise for or against it?
I realize it's not on the list of confirmed models, but sadly there are many HDDs that aren't - more coming all the time, and I don't think the list is updated very often.

Thoughts?

Should be OK. Pretty sure it's not a 4K sector drive.
