DFL-210 PPTP
« on: December 21, 2010, 10:26:25 AM »

Hello all,

I have setup a PPTP vpn on a new install for user's to connect from home through a regular windows vpn connection.  I can authenticate and get connected however I can't browse to anything on the network or ping anything.  I have followed the guide on the DLink website to a T.  I know something is being blocked but I am not sure where to look.  Has anyone come across this before.  Things of note are that when I get an IP address on the remote network the default gateway is the same as the IP address that is handed out.  Also the net mask that is given is 255.255.255.255 which is sort of odd and I am not sure where I configure the gateway and mask for the PPTP address pool.

Thanks in advance!

Solved.  Something that they did not put in the guide is that you need to add is:

Make sure under Interfaces > PPTP/L2TP Servers > your PPTP server > Add Route > under Proxy ARP publish the route on LAN
