Latest xbox 360 update breaks folders?
« on: November 28, 2010, 02:28:44 PM »

Has anyone else noticed that the latest xbox 360 update (november 2010) is breaking the folders view with the dns-323 (firmware 1.08)?

If I choose from the xbox menus:
Video Library
the DNS-323
Folders

...I see the highest directory that I have shared (not root), but if I choose it, I get "No videos found". It doesn't see the files that are in that directory or in the subdirectories.

However, if I choose All_Videos, it shows all of my videos in one long list (those in the top directory as well as those in the subdirectory).

My PS3 is still working fine, so I know it isn't on the DNS-323 side.

Usually, that sort of symptom means a login/permission issue. Have you tried clearing and re-entering the user id and password used to access the DNS323?

There isn't any password on the DNS-323 other than the admin setup.

It's just curious that it can see all the files in an "all files" view, but can't see anything (other than the name of the primary shared directory).
