Is Firmware 1.00.36 the latest and greatest...?

Does this firmware support the following;

WMA 10 pro
WVC1

I am asking this because almost all of my movies are encoded to  Video: WVC1, Audio: WMA 10 pro, with 20 - 40fps and they do not play well with the DSM-750.

Here are the problems;
1.  Video no audio
2.  Videos stop playing after 15 mins.
3.  Audio no Video
4.  Out of sync audio
5.  stuttering videos

I am using Tversity as my media server and all video are on a NAS.

Yes. 1.00.36 is currenly the latest firmware.

Have you tried Windows Media Player 11 as the media server for WMV9 video playback? Is this a wireless connection?

Yes I have tried WMP 11 as the media server with the same results for both wired and wireless connections.

Some videos encoded as WMV3 played with little or no stuttering while others would not play, also WVC1 encoded videos give the most problems.  I have also tried the direct way (USB connection), with the same results, some will play and some would not (for both, WMV3 and WVC1 encoded videos).

I did some research and found out that the Linksys models (2100/2200) were having these same issues and was fixed with a firmware update....

Here is another issue. This time with .avi video files(out of sync audio), below are the specs;

Does the DSM-750 support this type of videos?

Yes it look good. The audio being out of sync may be due to the software use to recode the video file. Some software just does this, the codec world is such a mess out there but we are working to improve support on different codecs all the time with new firmware.

Thanks ECF, it is now working perfectly...I remux the video file using the AVI-Mux_GUI software.  Everything is in sync now.

It would be nice if the extender (through a software interface) could adjust some sort of delay between the sound and picture (in milliseconds) to help with this sort of problem.  I believe there are some HD TV's that have this function as well.

We are currently working out some issue with some WMV codecs support and a firmware release should resolve many of these issue you have experienced. However I do not have a date for release at this time.

Thanks for the reply, looking forward to this update.

But for now, I have Tversity transcode all my WVC1  movies to mpeg so that I can view them.  The video is not as good as I would like(video resolution 720*576) but is viewable.

This was not fixed with the recent firmware update.  Is this still being worked on?

Yes we are still working on this issue. apparently that recent firmware update was finished and going through testing phases when this issue were reported.
