How to open ALL ports to / for a spesific IP-address?
« on: July 07, 2008, 08:07:58 AM »

Hi,

Is there some way to open ALL ports on IP 192.168.1.149?

I thought the point of DMZ was the fact that the DMZ-hosted IP-address isn't supposed to be affected by the NAT / Firewall?

But that doesn't seem to be the case, as the router keeps blocking stuff etc even when running a DMZ-hosted IP.

Companies like Blizzard also claims that DMZ do not always have all ports open?

be more specific, what kind of traffic is problematic when in the DMZ.  The DMZ does work but it is separate from some of the other features such as SPI and endpoint filtering that can be problematic for traffic that does not match standards exactly.

Blizzard works with port forwarding now port opening, there is a difference when working with peer to peer file transfer systems like blizzard. what is the exact application you are trying to run and what are the errors your getting so i can research it further.
