Any word on new Firmware with "Open Application Interface"?? Please D-Link??

Just a reminder: we have 2011 in the meantime and still no new firmware version for the DNS-323 in sight ?!?!?
D-Link announced in spring last year they are working on a firmware version with an open application interface, which would allow independent programmers to supply new/changed apps.
Please D-Link: just give us this firmware version and no one will ever bother you again to update the firmware for the DNS-323.....
If it is end of lifetime for this box, just make the remaining users happy by offering an update path like this!
