I am having the same problem with web pages that just stop loading.  I have had the DIR 655 for about 6 weeks and it had been working fine,  Time Warner had me just hook up directly to my PC and so far it has stayed working.  I did notice that pages open up faster this way, then with the DIR 655 running with wire or wireless.  I had the same problem after changing to different web pages back and forth it will stop working.  Can not get it to stay running longer than 10 minutes.  T. W. is saying that I should not use this router and switch to a NET Gear.  I went out and picked up another DIR 655 (before they told me about the problems) and found the new DIR 655 will not work and has the exact same problem.  I do not understand why it work and now its not and why a new one out of the box is bad also. How do I return both of routers and why is this problem NOT solved on D-Links end??  I can only get very fast responce for about 10 minutes of web surfing then pages star to slow down and then stop loading.  I am a D-link fan and find it hard to switch venders.  I do not see any good answers here except to use something else.

Since this issue just started 2 weeks ago, is this a IE9/IE10 update issue,  I still have a problem picking on the DIR 655.  Why is this just a Time Warner customer problem?

I do agree that this problem started two weeks ago......I first noticed it the weekend of July 23 or thereabouts.   I do not believe that it's a Time Warner issue because I'm on Cox and am getting the same thing (and I've discussed the issue with the cable company and they say nothing's wrong with the connection, and they're right because I run fine when I'm connected by cable directly to my modem).  I also am not certain it's an IE problem because I solely use Google Chrome....

It is not a Time Warner problem, nor is it restricted to a certain area of the US. If you are connecting through your modem and your internet connection is not effected, chances are there is no problem with your ISP.

I'm pretty sure that if you or I borrowed another make or model of router from a friend, we would find this issue is gone. The only thing in common about everyone posting on this thread is that we use the DIR-655.

So....this is kinda bizarre (to me at least, because I'm not a techie by any stretch)....but I'd been having this problem for the past two weeks or so.....and even prior to it going bad on me, I can't say as though I was really jazzed about this thing's performance.  Anyway, this morning before work I decided I'd had it and I just pulled the power cord out of the back of the unit.  Then I was away at work for 10 hours or so.  Came back tonight and needed to get on the internet so I plugged it back in.  Lo and behold, I have not had an issue at all for the past three hours.  (I couldn't go 10 minutes without it failing on me last night.)  On top of that, it feels like it's working at super-fast speeds.....faster even than when it was working "fine" before all this trouble.

I don't know what happened. I legitimately did nothing other than unplugging the cord for 10 hours, but my fingers are crossed that it stays like this because this is wonderful.....

I too have not noticed this issue today. I will leave my browser refreshing various pages to see if it is truely cured.

Otherwise, I will be testing a borrowed router to see if the issue arises.

This happened to me after I reset my router a few times and pulling my Belkin off my network. My network worked fine for about 2-3 hours. Hope your problems have gone away. And Ashleusa, please do report back on how a borrowed router works in your case. To update on my case I've been using the linksys e2000 for 2 days now and have been problem free so my problem definitely stems from the DIR.

I have not noticed the problem occuring for almost a day now. I don't spend every hour surfing the internet but I would at least notice it within the time I would each day.

Hopefully it'll stay like this... if not I will sub in another router and post again.
