I have one volume  (called voloume 1)  underneath it I have four folders  Bitorrent, Uploads, Downloads, Data.

I wanted to delete the Data folder but I have no idea how?

have you tried clicking on it and pressing the delete button, or right clicking the folder and seleting delete?

if you are not logged in as admin the username you are using to log in will need to have r/w permissions for the root volume

LOL!  Here's how I tried and maybe I am going about it the wrong way.

1) Log in as admin
2) Click on Advanced and Network Access
3) under Network Access Settings where it says Folder I click on Browse
4) I select the root folder I want to delete and hit the delete key..nothing happens  and the option to delete is greyed out on a right click....the only opton I have is to create a new folder and that is about it...I am loggin in as the admin and not as a created user.

you should be able to delete it normally without logging in. Just browse to the folder on your computer and delete as normal

I figured it out...I need to create a share directly to the root volume_1 then give admin full access to it..this allows me to browse and delete.
