can't connect to network and AP
« on: March 15, 2011, 09:13:43 AM »

I have used DWA-125 for almost a year now and there's no problem until three days ago.

I cannot connect to internet. It shows a great signal from network X and connection is available. However, when I tried to connect to X, this: "Windows unable to connect to X" appears. I tried the troubleshooter's solution and it's not working.

I tried to disable firewall, reinstall driver, and even reinstall my computer as my last resort. Nothing.

When I tried to install my driver again -before and after reinstalling my computer-, through the PBC configuration, it won't connect to the router/AP, no matter how long I push the button. Then I tried manually connect to the internet through by inputting SSID, and nothing happens. It still won't connect although the network is there and working normally *my notebook is working fine with X using its own wifi adapter, so I think there is nothing wrong with X.

Can you help tell me what's wrong? I think I already tried everything and it's not working. Thank you.

By the way, I'm using Win 7 Pro 32-bit.

updated:

it's somehow started to working by itself *strange, since i didn't do anything at all since i started posting here*

HOWEVER, it only connects to the network for about THREE seconds. Yes, it exactly 3 seconds before it disconnecting and I had to connect it again.

anyone know why that happened or how to longer the connection?

im having the same issue with my dwa-125. it connects for a few sec than disconnect. its kinda frustrating. there's no problem with the wireless router since 3 other laptops in the house can connect to the ap without any problem. the dwa-125 which is connected to my desktop cant seems to connect to my home network. before this the device can connect to my home network which was using wep network key. i changed my network key to wpa before the problem started. i use the dwa125 to connect my desktop to my network.

home someone can help us with this problem. thanks a mil in advance

glad your problem solved cpa. :)

unfortunately, it doesn't work for me. i don't know why, maybe because i haven't completed the drive installation for connection to the router/ap. But everytime i tried to set it up using WPS or manual, it won't connect. i press the WPS button for 2 minutes many times but it still won't work -the first time i set up the drive using WPS, it works even without a wi-fi connection-. i tried everything in the manual but it still won't work....

please help me.
