Sadly I would need a very long network cable to do that or else send all day moving my desktop.

I may try the DD WRT firmware in the future if this problem doesn't go away soon. I'll just need to set aside a little time to do it.

Kewl, let us know how it goes. Seems odd that it worked for a day now is back to having problems again. Any chance you an take either router or BD player or both to a friends place to see if it tracks? Might be worth a test. Also curious if you open the WPA for not no password does the same thing happen if you can connect to it?

Any other WiFi Aps in the area by chance?

Just a quick follow up. I think I now have my issue figured out. I am not sure what was dropping the ball, it was either the router or the bluray player or the dlna software, but I do know why it was dropping out. Seems if you run other programs with UPnP port scanning abilities (ie bit torrent) it can mess with your system. Stop using that software and the DLNA runs smooth and nice. I am able to stream 720P video with ease to my Samsung machine.

Thanks for the help. Thought I would post in case people with the same issue do a search.

Good to hear you seem to  find the issue. Ya you have to remember, running other downloading SW in the back ground while streaming video data will have an impact on things.

Hi,
I just sign up and I have similar issue with my DIR-615 Firmware Version: 2.25 Hardware Version: B2.
I have 2 PCs connected by network cable to the router and multiple wireless devices in the house.
Recently connection start dropping couple times a day for all devices wired and wireless.
Only way to restore it is to power down / up the router.
I found one similar issue on web where one guy solved the issue by lowering the bandwidth on wireless network.

Have you setup static IP addresses for all of your devices? Does it do this if you shut off all the wireless devices to test?
