Ok first let me start by saying I am no computer wizard so please keep answers in english! lol... heres what I got

I have had problems connecting wirelessly before and I just reset my modem and router and it worked fine. My Computer has windows 7 and it did an update and my wireless connection disappered. I can still see my network but it wont connect. so I pluged stright into the router and it works fine. I tried to reset everything with it plugged in and then try again still cant connect wirelessly.. I need some help because this is getting annoying! Thanks in advance

What wireless mode do you have the router set for? Mixed everything? Try single mode G? Try testing with out any security to test and see if you can get the PC to connect. Then turn back on the security and test again.

I would disable Protected WiFi if you don't need it. It's only for seemlessly connecting wireless printers and devices that have the ability to use Protested WiFi. Its not needed for PCs and Iphones.
