Help please?

I updated the firmware and downloaded the utility. I connected a USB external HDD to the router. When I hard wire my connection it see's the external and it works great. However, when I unplug it and run wirelessly it does not work. The utility does not see any USB devices... ideas? Thanks!

I am having the same exact problem... hard drive works fine on the PC but throw it on the router and this utility doesn't pick it up... i will say though that i had it working for about two hours watch a couple of shows off the drive and then the drive shut off and the router rebooted... but now like i said i've got nothing... and the drive is still fine... stumped???

I connected an old HP LaserJet 1200 printer and has worked on both wired and wireless laptops.

Did anyone bother looking at the pdf file that you can download with the utility?

I was able to get my USB Drive working over wireless. I reinstalled the SharePort application and then power cycled my USB Drive and my PC was able to connect to it.

This isn't a problem, it's just the way the software is designed. At this time D-Link only allows one user (Computer) to connect to a device inserted into the router's USB port. Once the user that is "using" the USB device disconnects, another user can connect.

You mean "at this time" because D-Link is planning to upgrade SharePort?

And what about connecting to the disks Wirelesly? Is it possible?

I installed the Utility in 2 Notebooks and i counldn't connect to the dirive in neither of them.
